Aude de Kerros was born in Batavia, Dutch East Indies on 24th of December 1947, into a family of sailors, artists and jurists.

In 1914, Aude de Kerros’s grandfather was a young Navy officer on a two year mission in China. His gunboat was stationed on the Yangtze River. After completing his service, he asked to return to France on his own. He took this opportunity to discover China and

Japan. Permission was granted. On his way home he boarded the legendary Trans-Siberian railroad in Vladivostok to cross the continent going to Moscow. From there he took another train to Paris. When the war was declared, the changing game of alliances shut borders one after another. They all closed behind him as his train, the last train, raced toward France. He arrived

in Paris and immediately went to fight World War I.

In June 1940, her father left France and joined Charles De Gaulle’s France Libre (Free France). From Naval School in Dartmouth, he went on to fight in the Battle of the Atlantic. After the World War II, he became a diplomat and took his family on diplomatic assignments to Asia, South America, Israel and the Middle East. Aude’s childhood and adolescence were marked by travel.

Following the family tradition of adventure and seeking of truth and liberty, Aude de Kerros participated in the legendary demonstrations of 1968 in Paris. Today, she continues this tradition with her research and numerous international appearances and has become legendary for her courageous research into contemporary culture in France and the world. Her many articles were published in leading French publications, such as «Le Monde», «Figaro» and others. She is also the author of numerous books on the subject.

Her monthly program on «Radio Courtoisie» is devoted to arts and culture. The Parisian Salon of Aude de Kerros, attracts artists, writers and thinkers who love the arts from all over the world.
